Summer Skincare

After a fun three day weekend at the lake with some of my best friends, I came back tan and very educated on skincare! My friend Mabry is the ultimate skin guru and knows all about which products you should invest in for your best-looking skin. She knows so much about the benefits of every product and kept explaining how important it is for your face to feel healthy. I am so inspired by her routine and am about to take up her skincare regimen as my own. I love trying new products and everything I used of hers is now in my shopping cart. She had me testing her products all weekend to learn more about them and to see if it made a difference to my skin. I can honestly say it did! This was the first time in years I was able to spend days in the sun and not get burnt or have peeling skin.

My favorite part about all of these products is how lightweight they are. Even her face sunscreen by Supergoop was the lightest thing I’ve ever felt. Her mom is friends with the founder of Drunk Elephant and really believes in her products.

Since she is the expert, I had her send me a picture of how she organizes her products and thought it would be easiest to share by shelf level from left to right.

Middle Shelf: First is the Glow Recipe watermelon glow sleeping mask – use this once or twice a week to hydrate and brighten your skin. Next is Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukarno Babyfacial – use this once a week to resurface your skin and get rid of dead, built-up skin to improve the texture of your skin. Use the Drunk Elephant Marula Luxury Facial Oil nightly to moisturize, decrease redness, wrinkles and fine lines. I used this Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen 40 SPF at the lake – apply daily before makeup, it’s so lightweight. Spray the Caudalie Beauty Elixir on your face first thing in the morning, this acts as a toner and sets your makeup. After you wash your face in the morning and spray the apply the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum – this is a super potent vitamin c serum that firms and brightens your skin and prevents aging. If you want a little summer glow, mix in Drunk Elephant D – Bronzi. Mabry mixes the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream with her Marula oil every night. It is fluffy and heals any sun damage and lessens wrinkles. Lastly on this tray is little Drunk Elephant chapstick that Mabry says rocks!

The bottom row line up: Kopari deodorant – 100% plant-based. Next is her Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick– it’s a depuffing stick that has caffeine in it and it helps with dry skin and puffiness. We passed this around every morning at the lake, it tingles and Charles compared it to beezing (lol). Next is her Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream – which she uses every day – she’s obsessed, it’s light, helps with cellulite and it’s just a good throw on lotion. I used this at the lake and it got rid of all of my shaving bumps after just one use. This is one of the first things I ordered. Use the Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser to remove makeup or if you feel like your cleanser is stripping my skin too much. She uses this jade roller every morning to depuff and it’s even better after leaving in the freezer for a while. Lastly, she uses the Dr. Dennis Gross facial peels once a day to reduces redness.

I know this may seem like information overload but it really is so helpful and you can read and see what products out of all of these may be best for you. Try them and let us know what you think!! Thanks to Mabry for sharing all of her skincare products with me! XOXO
